Functional health concern

When your body stays in survival mode, everything feels harder.

Feeling anxious, overwhelmed, constantly on edge, or emotionally exhausted isn't something you should simply accept. While life brings stress, your body wasn't designed to remain in a constant state of "fight or flight." Our goal is to uncover what may be contributing to your symptoms and help support a healthier, more resilient nervous system.

How we help

We look for what's keeping your body on high alert.

Your brain and body are constantly communicating. When one system is out of balance, it can affect how you think, feel, and respond to stress. We take a comprehensive approach to help identify underlying imbalances and create a plan that supports your body's natural ability to regulate and recover.

Our approach

  • Evaluation of nutrition, hormones, stress, sleep, and lifestyle factors.
  • Functional testing when appropriate to better understand underlying contributors.
  • Easy-to-understand explanations of your results.
  • Personalized nutrition and supplement recommendations.
  • Ongoing support from Dr. Tom throughout your care.
The result: a calmer nervous system, greater resilience, better sleep, and feeling more like yourself again.
The honest version

"You just need to relax" isn't always enough.

Stress and anxiety aren't always just emotional. Hormones, blood sugar imbalances, nutrient deficiencies, inflammation, gut health, poor sleep, and chronic stress can all affect how your brain and nervous system function. We look deeper to help identify potential contributors so your care is based on understanding, not guessing.

Common questions

Stress & anxiety FAQ

Isn't stress and anxiety just emotional?
Not always. How you feel is closely tied to what's happening in your body. Hormones, blood sugar swings, nutrient gaps, inflammation, gut health, and poor sleep can all affect how your brain and nervous system respond to stress. We look at those factors so we're addressing the whole picture.
What kind of testing is involved?
It depends on your situation. We may look at stress hormones, blood sugar, thyroid and other hormones, and inflammation, then walk through the results with you in plain English so you understand what's going on.
Does this replace therapy or my regular doctor?
No. Functional health care works alongside your regular medical and mental health care, not in place of it. We focus on the nutrition, lifestyle, and root-cause side of how your body handles stress.
